Recycle Swarm R3 is now available for download.

Check out what’s new!

This is a bugfix release, and it does not affect the interfaces used by the client. It fixes a few minor issues related to the harvest action, and another one related to the display of time in the GUI.

Stopping a harvest action before the pile was depleted resulted in the pile being prematurely removed, generating an objectsDetected update with a null position. ObjectsDetected notifications with null positions signal objects that disappeared from the map while being in the vehicle’s visual range (ie. depleted in the case of garbage piles, and loaded/picked up in the case of garbage packets). The issue was fixed, so if an ObjectsDetected notification includes a pile with a null position, the pile will always be depleted (ie. have zero quantity).

Related to the above, the toString() methods of GarbagePile and GarbagePacket classes in the ontology now show the quantity (number of garbage units) in the pile/packet; for garbage packets, the id of the team that owns the packet is also shown.

The progress of the harvest action was not updated properly, which resulted that in some cases it would take longer than normal to complete.

If the number of garbage units in a pile would not be a multiple of the harvest packet size, the last packet would have more units than were left in the pile. This was corrected.

The current time of the simulation shown in the GUI was offset by 1000 ms. The correct time is now shown.

Best of luck!

Ticket to Ride R3 and Crafting Quest 2 R3 are now ready for download

December 24, 2010

Get your SDK and send your solution until January 20, 2011, 24.00h (GMT+2), to enter the second testing round!
Measure your skills with those of your opponents.

Check out what’s new!
The SDKs can be downloaded from the SDK section of your account (you need to be logged into your team account, in order to download the SDK).

Ticket to Ride

Fixes from last version:

fixed memory leak on C/C++ clients

fixed file separator bug on Java server

gamelog issue with Java server that caused the application to log erroneously in 4 log files instead of one

Crafting Quest 2
Fixes from last version:

Several classes (CraftedObject, StrategicResource, UnitState) where missing an overriden hashCode() method, causing an undesired behavior of the HashMaps that had objects of such classes as keys. This issue has now been fixed.
